- 13 Week contract, 36 hours.
Job details
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.
- If they hang chemo they need to be chemo certified but not required to work the floor.
- Other needed competencies: Ventilator, other hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000), ICP- all can train real time.
Job requirements
- Shifts: 12 hour.
- Shift times: 7a-7p, 7a-3p, 3p-7p, 7p-11p, 11p-7a, 7p-7a.
- Weekend requirements: Every third weekend.
- Self schedule.
- RN Ratio (Days): 1 RN to 4 PCU, 1 to 5 M/S
- RN Ratio (Nights): 1 RN to 5-6 patients

- Unit: 6 East.
- Level of care: PCU and MedSurg.
- Number of beds: 27.
- Patient population: Adults.
- Common Drips/Medications: chemotherapy, heparin, cardizem, protonix.
- Charge nurse: Yes.
- Additional unit support staff: PT/OT, RN case manager, social work, educator, dietician.
- Float: Yes, same level of care.
- Patient Experience challenges/focus: hourly rounding.
- Qualities for hires: Teamwork, genuine need to care for patients, adaptability to cultural diversity and different religious beliefs.
