Job Summary

The role involves providing nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical unit, including all aspects of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of care.

Key Duties

• Utilize the nursing process to meet patient needs, including assessment and planning.
• Perform treatments safely and effectively.
• Administer medications in a timely manner.
• Maintain responsibility for test data preparation, interpretation, and evaluation.
• Act appropriately in emergency situations.
• Educate and counsel patients and their families regarding care plans.
• Commit to professional growth and competency, including mandatory education.
• Promote positive interpersonal relationships and effective communication.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
• Participate in committees as assigned and comply with all regulatory standards.

Position Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid Colorado RN license or multistate RN license through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• American Heart Association BLS certification upon employment.
• ACLS and basic ECG certification.
