Maintain departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement programs, and safety standards.
Ensure compliance with the QC program mandated by regulatory or accrediting agencies (ACR).
Demonstrate appropriate use of equipment and devices for patient care and safety.
Assist physicians in procedures such as needle biopsies and renal biopsies while maintaining sterile technique.
Perform duties of a C.T. Technologist, including obtaining diagnostic images and selecting appropriate protocols and technical factors.
Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address patient concerns.
Coordinate workflow with team members in the C.T. department.
Comply with radiation protection protocols and guidelines.
Demonstrate knowledge of care appropriate to the assigned age group, including assessment, evaluation, planning, and implementation of treatment or procedures.
Participate in professional development through educational programs and workshops.
Transport patients to the CT Scan room and observe for any unusual reactions.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the CT room, following infection control guidelines.
Request and order supplies to ensure availability.
Conduct work in a cost-effective manner and notify supervisors regarding meal or break periods.

Must possess strong initiative, good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to prioritize workflow with minimal direction.
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with other departments.
Participation in call coverage for services is required.
Must maintain attendance and punctuality standards, and ensure no lapses in license/certification.
