Job Function 1: Assessment skills. Has competent knowledge of all the normal stages of growth and development from Pediatric to Geriatric and delivers patient care appropriately. Performs thorough assessments that are systematic, comprehensive and accurate.

Job Function 02: Clinical Skills. Demonstrates competent clinical skills. Performs direct patient care activities in support of patient care delivery and team concept.

Job Function 03: Documentation. Maintains complete and accurate documentation. Demonstrates knowledge of documentation guidelines.

Job Function 04: Professionalism. Demonstrates professional practice responsibility, knowledge of policies and procedures, and identifies areas for clinical and professional growth.

Job Function 05: Patient Satisfaction. Responds to patients/families and co-workers in a professional, courteous, positive manner.

Job Function 06: Safety. Follows National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and safe transfer techniques.

Job Function 07: Unit Specific Job Function. Knowledge of the conditions/diagnoses, procedures and equipment encountered for surgical patients.

Job Function 08: Responsibility and Accountability. Prioritizes care of patients based on needs and changes in condition.

Job Function 09: Patient Education and Chart Completion. Involves patient and family in education. Performs pre-operative and postoperative assessment and education.

Job Function 10: Duties Specific to PAT RN. Supports completion of patient testing and evaluates Pre Admission Testing orders.
