ICU (650) at Methodist Hospital South provides intensive care services with a staff comprising one charge nurse and one monitor tech for both day and night shifts. With only 6 beds, the ICU maintains patient ratios of 2 or 3:1, ensuring focused care. The facility is equipped with monitors, ventilators, and other essential ICU equipment, utilizing HMS for electronic medical records.

ACLS certification and a minimum of 2 years ICU experience are mandatory for candidates to be considered. Applicants should be open to floating to a medical surgical telemetry unit during low census times, have experience assisting with TEE/Cardioversion, and be skilled in managing patients receiving cardiac drips, diuretic drips, and those on ventilators, BiPAP, C-PAP, CVP, and ART line management.

Candidates with experience in Dobutamine and Lexiscan Stress tests, thoracentesis, paracentesis are preferred but not required. Scrub color for the unit is Navy Blue.
