Job Description

• Epic experience REQUIRED
• The Progressive Critical Care Unit cares for medically delicate and surgically complex patients, including those with:

  • Respiratory failure
  • Sepsis
  • Closed head injuries
  • Multi-system organ dysfunction
  • Endocrine disorders
  • Complex traumas
  • Surgical complications

Responsibilities

• Competence in the care of medical and surgical populations
• Proficiency in ACLS and advanced hemodynamics, including:

  • Pressor usage per titration protocols
  • Antihypertensive drips
  • Sedative and Narcan drips
  • Thrombo-embolytics
  • Central venous pressure (CVP) monitoring
  • External ventricular drain (EVD) management
  • Ortho traction
  • Infection prevention protocols
  • High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), BiPap/Cpap, and oxygen-dependent care

Patient Load

• Average patient load: 3 high acuity patients
