Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 3 Cath/EP/Hybrid/Structural Heart rooms
• Number of Staff: 3 per room (RNs and Rad Techs)
• Patient Ratios: 3 per case
• Type of Equipment: GE and Philips labs, Mac Lab/Cardiolab
• EMR: Meditech

Shift Information

• Day Shift: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
• Night Shift: On call only
• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend/month
• On Call: 1 night call per week (3:30 PM - )

Required Skills

Must Have

• Cath Lab Circulating (RN)
• Scrub experience as a Rad Tech

Preferred

• Mac Lab/Cardiolab experience

Typical Procedures Performed

• Left/Right heart caths, angioplasty/stent; IVUS, ICE, atherectomy
• Atrial Fib Ablations, Micra’s ICDs, PM, Lead extraction
• Structural Heart: TAVR, TMVR, Tricuspid, LAAC (Watchman) PFO/ASD

Required Certifications

• Registered Nurse License for Circulator role
• Registered Radiologic Technologist License, Fluoroscopy permit

Additional Information

• Floating Area: Registered Nurse may assist in the Pre/Post care area called Cardiovascular Observation Unit
• Dress Code: May wear own scrubs or use the blue hospital scrubs
