Unit: Tele Neuro 2B
Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required.
Ratios: 1:4 ratio
Floating: Cardiac Tele and/or MedSurg Onc
Floor specific orientation: 3 shifts on the floor.
Common diagnosis / Types of patients: CVA post TPA, basic gtts to titrate down, TIAs, head bleeds, carotids, thoracotomies, AICDs, post surgicals requiring tele.

Additional Details

ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); pre-screening is performed by Medical Solutions.
UNA Dysrhythmia Exam required with a maximum of 2 attempts.
PASS/FAIL Sim Lab on day one of orientation with provided study guides.
Charge Nurse: Yes, does not take patients.
Nurse Aides: Yes.
