    Job requirements
  • 2 years of experience is required.
  • Active BLS, ACLS, and AZ license or compact are mandatory.
  • Travel experience is essential.
  • CERNER experience is a must.
    Schedule information
  • Contract length is 13 weeks.
  • Shifts are 12 hours, from 7 to 7.
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, could be every 3rd.
  • Holidays: Work into permanent staff rotation.
    Unit specific information
  • Unit: Tele Neuro 2B
  • Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required.
  • Ratios: 1:4 ratio
  • Floating: Cardiac Tele and/or MedSurg Onc
  • Floor specific orientation: 3 shifts on the floor.
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: CVA post TPA, basic gtts to titrate down, TIAs, head bleeds, carotids, thoracotomies, AICDs, post surgicals requiring tele.
    Additional Details
  • ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); pre-screening is performed by Medical Solutions.
  • UNA Dysrhythmia Exam required with a maximum of 2 attempts.
  • PASS/FAIL Sim Lab on day one of orientation with provided study guides.
  • Charge Nurse: Yes, does not take patients.
  • Nurse Aides: Yes.
