Job Description

• Experience Required:

  • 1 year of acute inpatient pharmacy experience
  • Competency with EPIC Willow inpatient system
  • South Carolina Registered Pharmacist (RPH) license required

• Shift Details:

  • 10-hour shifts
  • Rotation of 4 (10-hour) shifts
  • Shift times:

    • Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM
    • Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM
  • Night shifts are not required, with a maximum of 1 weekend shift per month anticipated.

Certifications and Competencies

Required Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for every nursing specialty.
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required.
• Competency Exam: Required.

Preferred Certifications:

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Preferred for RNs, especially in CCU and ED.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Preferred for ED.
• NIH Stroke Certification: Preferred for MS, ED, and CCU RNs.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam: Initial physical required, updated annually.
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray: Required within 1 year of start, updated annually.
• Vaccinations:

  • Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella: Titer or 2 vaccines required.
  • 10-Panel Drug Screen: Required within the last 12 months.
  • Flu Vaccine: Required for the 2024-2025 flu season.

Background and History Checks

• Background Check: 7-year criminal check required, updated annually.
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references required.
• Employment Application: Complete application/resume required.
• Education Verification: Required for new and upcoming candidates.
