Pros
Mostly stayed on my assigned unit. Several nurses would assist if I asked for help.
Cons
The nurse/patient ratio was higher than I was expecting, we did not have enough support staff, assignments were not fair based on acuity, my assignment changed every shift while most other nurses (including travelers) remained constant, unit definitely plays favorites when making assignments. Hospital expectations exceed staffing capabilities.
