- Level II Trauma Center -- air flight that flies in (closest in 50 mi radius)
- Beds: 411
- Intermediate/PCU level of care experience – 1 year
- If only Med/Surg experience with some PCU – 2 years
- First-time traveler? Must have completed at least (2) 13-week assignments
- Trauma – Level 2 Trauma patients
- Neuro – Strokes, stable Craniotomies (Coils or Clips), CIWA, seizure precautions
- Medical/Surgical – Respiratory illnesses (COVID/Flu/Pneumonia), Long term trachs with vents, Respiratory Failure requiring Bipap or High Flow O2, COPD exacerbation, post-op General Surgery, Sepsis, IVDA, Thyroid storm
- Patient Types: Cardiac - STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, AFIB with RVR, s/p Cardiac Cath, s/p Ablation, 24h post op TAVR
- Patient Ratios: RN : 1:3-4 (Days & Nights), Tech: 1:6-12 (Days & Nights) – dependent on staffing

- Must have Trauma experience; experience with Stroke patients and performing Q2H neuro checks
- Experience with trached patients on vents (need to know how to administer 100% FiO2 via suction support and silence alarms)
- Experience with cardiac drips (Amio – set rate, Cardizem), Insulin – titrating
Job requirements
- Shift Times: 0700-1930 or 1900-0730
- Weekend rotation: every other
- May be placed on Low Census Call back
- Can we approve time off? To go through manager
- Holiday Expectations: varies based on unit needs
Schedule information
- Neuro/Trauma – must have Trauma experience; experience with Stroke patients and performing Q2H neuro checks
- Medical/Surgical - Highflow O2, chest tubes, Wound Vacs/VAC dressing changes, Bipap, general drain/ostomy care, IV starts
- Cardiac - temporary pacemakers, TR bands, post femoral sheath care, cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Drips – Cardiac drips (Amio – set rate, Cardizem), Insulin – titrating – decline travelers that do not have Insulin/Cardiac gtt experience
