  • LOOKING FOR OCTOBER 21st START DATE, Unit can ONLY accept October 21st start
  • RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
  • Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
  • Patient Diagnoses: ELVO, Stroke, Aneurysm, Kyphoplasty, Carotid Stents, IR Diagnostics, Angioplasty, Cerebral Venograms
  • Special Procedures/Unit Details: Neurosurgery, Neuro interventional procedures
  • Unit Systems (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC and SBAR
  • Unit Orientation: 30 hours, however, orientation may be longer
  • SCRUBS: Provided
    Job requirements
  • REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: BLS, patient ratio experience required is 1:2. Electronic documentation/ Teaching Hospital Experience is required.
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 3 years
  • Traveler Experience: Unit accepts 1st time travelers
  • Certs: BLS
  • PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Circulate, Conscious Sedation, ICP, Vents, Critical Care Experience, RN Interventional Radiology Experience, ACLS and NIH are preferred certs. Previous charge experience is preferred. Community Hospital Experience is preferred as well as Level II Trauma Experience.

  • Ratios: 1:1 all shifts
  • Shift: 0630-1630, 10 hrs
  • Call Requirement: Yes, Call Rotation required about 1 weekend of call per 4 weeks
  • Float Requirement: No
  • Visits/Day: 15
  • Rooms: 2
  • Patient Age Group: Adults and Geriatrics

  • Unit accepts 1st time travelers
  • Previous charge experience is preferred for this unit.
  • The unit deals with neurosurgery and neuro interventional procedures.
  • Experience with Stroke, Aneurysm, Kyphoplasty, Carotid Stents, IR Diagnostics, Angioplasty, and Cerebral Venograms is part of the unit specifics.
    Additional Details
  • Traveler may be preassigned to units as needed due to consolidation or disaster response.
