CCC-Cardiac Critical Care Unit
75 MILE STRAIGHT LINE RADIUS RULE - NO LOCAL TRAVELERS
2 years experience current required in a 12 plus bed cardiac critical care and/or intensive care unit required
Open heart, LVAD, balloon pump experience preferred
Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment
Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment

Job requirements

Must have an active NM or compact license
Time off requests must be disclosed with initial submission to be considered for approval
Time off requested after the acceptance date will not be approved
Must include at least two references (one must be from current manager), a resume, and completed skills checklist/competency assessment
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

EPIC EMR experience preferred
Must pass the BCA (basic cardiac arrythmia) testing during first week of assignment

Schedule information

12 hour NIGHT shift position
Start time 1900
Weekends - 3 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule period
Holidays required per PH policy
Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs
On call, weekends and holidays may be required

Unit specific information

At alternate location-Will float to progressive care unit and med/surg
Will float to ICU to care for tele patients boarding in ICU
Will float to ED to care for admitted inpatients holding for bed or as helping hands
Will float to CC/TELE/MS areas

Additional Details

Travelers must not have been an employee of the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for 12 months from last day worked, in order to be considered for a travel position
State tax is passed through to your agency and will be reflected on your invoice. The state tax should be paid to the state of New Mexico
ENSURE AN ACCURATE SS# and DOB IS ENTERED. IF NOT, TRAVELER MAY BE PUSHED/AGENCY SUSPENDED (creates I.T. onboarding issues)
