    Job requirements
  • Must have 2+ years of ICU experience
  • Hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIH
  • CA license required
    Schedule information
  • Every other weekend
  • Would be required to fill in gaps in weekend schedule
  • 8s & 12s (mostly 12s) shifts
  • On call responsibilities depending on census/staffing mismatch with a 30-minute response time
  • Call: Must be within 30 minutes of hospital
    Unit specific information
  • Unit: ICU
  • # of beds: 16 and can go to 20 beds
  • Ratios: 1:1, 1:2
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Holidays: Work into the holiday schedule
  • Scrub Color: Navy
  • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: 24 hr intensivist (on call at night)
  • RT 24/7: Yes
  • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
  • Floating: float to tele 4 to 1
  • Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts in ICU then on own 3rd shift
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients include: Adults & Peds - MedSurg, Neuro, Balloon pumps, cranies, occasional ICP, CABG, some trauma, psych - OD, peds minor/DKA, TPA, hypothermia, ECMO, Impalla, CRRT - PrismaFlex, TAVR, & EVAR, may start doing carotid stenting, ECOS, IABP
    Additional Details
  • Holiday RTO will be considered, however not guaranteed
  • Charge Nurse does not carry patients
  • Nurse Aides: No
  • Tele: Phillips
  • Vents: Yes, Draeger Vents - per RT
  • IV Team during the day
