A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for Night ICU RN's.
13 Weeks, Every other Weekend/Holiday.
Open Heart Trained.

Job requirements

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 for adults, 1:2-4 for Peds.
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and Pediatrics, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory distress.
RNs required to titrate drips: Yes.
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Any cardiac drip, insulin, sedation.
RNs required to read and interpret telemetry.
Unable to guarantee block scheduling.
RNs are required to float as needed.

Schedule information

Shifts: 0630-1830, 1830-0630.
Weekend Requirements: Every other.
Holiday Requirements: Rotating based on weekend group.
Floating Requirements: Typically to PCU, possibly to MedSurg.

# of Beds: 33 beds, average daily census is 16.
Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 for adults, 1:2-4 for Peds.

Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?
RT Equipment: Nasal cannula to vent.
Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? RNs required to read their own strips.

Additional Details

Health Support Tech M-F 0800-1630 available.
Nasal cannula to vent handled by RNs.
Self scheduling for core staff, travelers added in.
Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
