    Job details
  • RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
  • Primarily Medical Surgical patients with Oncology history and occasional Chemotherapy administration
  • Target Ratios: 1:6-7
  • Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!
  • Patient diagnoses: General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection
  • Special procedures/Unit details: Daily Census 42. During times of increased census, typical ratios may be higher.
  • Unit orientation: 24 hrs (2 shifts)
  • Scrubs: Navy Blue and white
    Job requirements
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
  • Traveler Experience: Will accept 1st time travelers.
  • Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
  • Skills required: Administer chemo. Experience in an inpatient setting is required, Med/Surg, Colostomy care, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Heparin, Insulin, Chemotherapy Administration, Monitoring Chemotherapy, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac
  • Certs required: Chemotherapy administration certification is required prior to start; required to obtain prior to start. Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert! BLS.
    Schedule information
  • Shift: NIGHTS
  • RTO: 7 days MAX - NO CHRISTMAS RTO; 36 or 48 hours. If 48 then no OT billed until after 48.
  • Call Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift.
  • Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.
  • Weekend Requirement: *EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.

  • Unit Systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
    Additional Details
  • Attendance to monthly staff meetings.
