Job Description
Responsibilities:
- BLS
- O2 protocol management
- Non-invasive airway management
- Peripheral line care/management
- Isolation precaution/PPE
- Computerized documentation
- Nurse to patient Ratios: 1:6-8
- Rapid response team activation
Experience Required:
- 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Women's health and Med/Surg Oncology
- Experience with GYN and Onc patients is needed
- ONS chemo certification preferred
- Pediatric experience is not required (very small population)
Unit Details:
- Med/Surg unit with central lines, ports, and drains
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Certifications Required
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (as applicable)
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (as applicable)
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (as applicable)
- CHEMO - Chemotherapy (as applicable)
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course (as applicable)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) (as applicable)
- NIH Stroke Certification (as applicable)
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute (as applicable)
Health Documents Required
- Physical Exam within 12 months of start
- Fit Test required within 1 year of start
- Adult TDAP Vaccine within 10 years of start
- Negative 2-Step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT within 1 year of start
- Vaccine records for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella
- Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start
Background Check
- 7 Year Background Check within 1 year of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
Additional Requirements
- Clear headshot for badge
- Complete Application/Resume required
- Unit Specific Skills Checklist required annually
- Education Verification required - must verify highest level of education
