Job Description

The Registered Nurse will perform direct patient/resident care and delegate tasks to patient care technicians, ensuring care and comfort for residents. The role requires knowledge and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to facility care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Patient Assessment (30%): Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services as per the physician-authorized plan of care.
  • Direct Resident Care (30%): Administer medications, perform treatments, assist with transfers, and respond to alarms.
  • Treatment Plan Evaluation (20%): Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborate with team members to update/revise plans.
  • Order Processing (10%): Accurately process physician/provider orders and perform care as ordered.
  • Medication Follow-Up (10%): Follow up on medication changes and order clarifications.

Submission Requirements

  • Must be willing to float between two MyMichigan hospitals in Midland and Saginaw (32 miles apart).
  • Experience Required:
    • 2+ years of Med Surg experience
    • Oncology experience
  • Certifications Required:
    • BLS (AHA)
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Travel experience
    • Epic experience

Additional Requirements

  • All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission; requests after the offer may lead to rescinded offers.
  • Work history and skills checklist current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty.
  • Two supervisory reference forms taken within the last two years.
  • Candidates must provide a permanent address; local candidates (within a 50-mile radius) will not be considered.
