Job Description

• Position: RN MS/TELE
• Shift: 3x12 Days (07:00 - 19:00)
• Experience Required: 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience in acute care; trauma experience preferred.
• First-timers Accepted: No
• Floating Requirement: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs and to sister facilities.

Requirements

Documentation

• Current and valid Driver's License or State issued ID.
• Utility bill in the traveler's name with matching address within the last three months (address must be greater than 75 miles from the contracted facility).

Time Off

• Maximum of 5 days of RTO (Request Time Off) will be accepted.

Certifications/Licenses Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• EKG Course/Telemetry test
• Trauma certifications preferred (if applicable)

Charting System

• Epic

Additional Information

• Local Candidates: Not accepted (must be greater than 75 miles from the facility).
• Pending State License: Not accepted.
• Background Check: Required within 30 days of start, updated annually.
• References: 2 former supervisor references required.
• Employment Application: Current and updated resume including the last 7 years of employment.

Health Requirements

• Vaccinations:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
  • Drug Screen (Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen)
  • Flu vaccine required for all new starts during flu season.
  • COVID-19 vaccination (fully vaccinated preferred).

Competencies

• Various competency exams required, including Dysrhythmia/EKG, Core Parts I-III, and unit-specific competency exams.

Facility Specific Requirements

• Must complete facility-specific training and orientation, including EPIC training if applicable.
