Schedule information

12's 7 - 7:30. Do not be late. Very strict regarding attendance. AM huddle. Block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Unit specific information

MedSurg & Tele (mixed unit)
39 Beds (37 private rooms & 1 semi-private room)
Ratios 1 to 4 tele patients; 1 to 5 MedSurg patients
EMR: Cerner experience preferred
Common diagnosis/Types of patients: General MedSurg patients including bariatrics & all total joints, CVA patients, a-fib, amiodarone, set rate cardizem, dopamine & dobutamine only for renal perfusion, no titration, heparin & hyperglycemia protocol

Charge Nurse 24/7
CNAs based on the census
Travelers are expected to work into the perm staff holiday rotation schedule (1 major holiday & 1 minor holiday)
Navy blue scrub color requirement
Very fast paced, busy, high turnover unit
Any issues that compromise patient safety will not be tolerated
