Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, providing quality imaging and supporting the Radiologist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Responsibilities include processing and transmitting images to PACS.

Qualifications

1. Licensure/Certification:

   • Current State Nuclear Medicine License issued by CDPH.
   • A.R.R.T. or N.M.T.C.B. Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology required.

2. Experience:

   • One year of acute clinical radiology experience.
   • At least one year of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist.

3. Technical Skills:

   • Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic/Fluoroscopic equipment.
   • Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

4. Education:

   • Graduate of a program accredited by JRCNMT or CAMRT.

5. Certifications:

   • Current BCLS (AHA) required.
   • Proficient computer skills.

Additional Requirements

• Vaccinations:

  • 2 COVID-19 vaccines and booster required or declination completed.
  • Proof of 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer showing immunity.
  • Annual Flu Vaccine or declination required (October 1 - May 31).
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination required.
  • Varicella vaccination or titer showing immunity.
  • Tdap vaccination required (declinations not accepted at certain facilities).

• Health Assessments:

  • Annual Respirator fit test.
  • TB Test.
  • Physical/Health Statement (annually, except for specific facilities).

• Background Checks:

  • Criminal background check (within 60 days of start).

• Professional Documentation:

  • Driver's license, State ID, or Passport.
  • Prime Resume.
  • References (2 required).
  • Name Verification Affidavit for any discrepancies.

• Testing:

  • Prime Core Competencies Exam (must score 80% or higher).
  • Prime Specialty Exam (must score 80% or higher).

• Other:

  • Prime Badge Photo (JPEG only).
  • Prime Orientation Packet to be completed on the first scheduled shift.
