- We are seeking an experienced inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to: Work on a recently renovated 12-bed neuroscience critical care unit with the opportunity to support both IMC and ICU level of care. Care for adult patients with a variety of neurology, neurosurgical and stroke conditions that can include ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, traumatic brain injuries, hydrocephalus, cerebral aneurysm, and other neurovascular diseases. Utilize strong critical thinking skills and provide interventions that may include vasoactive drips, hemodynamic monitoring, feeding tubes, drains, frequent assessments, and more. Work with a dynamic and supportive team of nurses that are an integral part of our nationally recognized neuroscience programs committed to providing expert care.
- ICU experience required. Neurosurgery experience preferred. Must be willing to work with ICU and IMC patient population. Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.
- Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state. Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience and must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY.
- Shift: 36 hrs/week, D/N, 12 hr shifts, 7-1930; 19-0730; every other weekend.
- Work on a recently renovated 12-bed neuroscience critical care unit with the opportunity to support both IMC and ICU level of care.
- Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation if parking onsite. Other transportation options are available: bus, park & ride, private parking, etc.
