  • 40 private and semi-private rooms
  • Patient Types: Any medical diagnosis except Cardiac
  • Common diagnoses include Stroke, COPD, Respiratory issues, GI Bleed, Renal Failure, Electrolyte imbalance, altered mental status, weakness, non-operable fractures
  • Non-surgical unit
  • Patient Ratios: RN: Days 1:4-5; Nights 1:5-6; CNA: Days 1:10; Nights 1:10
  • Support on the Unit: CNA, Charge nurse, Phlebotomy, House Supervisor, RT, Hospitalist, PT/OT/ST
  • Charting System: Cerner, Alaris, Pyxis
  • Floating: Potential to float to any area with Med Surg patients
  • Orientation: 2 Days Hospital orientation, 1 shift on the unit
  • Weekend rotation: every other, Call required: none, Holiday Expectations: manager approval, RTO: Manager approval
    Job requirements
  • RN: 1 year minimum experience preferred
  • CNA: 1 year experience preferred
  • Previous charge experience highly preferred for RN
  • Proficiency in obtaining vital signs for CNA
    Schedule information
  • 26 weeks preferred but not required
  • Weekend rotation: every other
  • Call required: none
  • Holiday Expectations: manager approval
  • RTO: Manager approval
    Unit specific information
  • Traveler will routinely work on either Grant 5 or Grant 6 (same level of care spread across 2 separate units)
  • Potential to float to any area with Med Surg patients (within or below scope)
