CVOR Tech specialty position available
2 CVOR suites available with an average of 1-3 cases per day
Common cases include Open hearts (CABG, Valve, aneurysms), thoracotomies, VATS, Convergent, AAA, carotids, and more
Charge Nurse for all shifts 7a-11p M-F and weekends 7a-7p; manager available until 4p M-F
Opportunities available for overtime and CV team lead will make the schedule

Job requirements

MUST BE WILLING to cross train into general OR if CV volumes are low
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
Candidates must be able to first scrub and have experience with open hearts, CABG, Valves
Must be willing to float to to the floor as a 1:1 sitter when needed to supplement hours

Schedule information

Schedule is 0645-1515 M-F, starting at 6a for Open Heart Case Prep
Weeknight Call Requirements: 3-4 times per week, 1515-0645
Weekend Call Requirements: every other to every third weekend, Fri at 1515 to Mon at 0645
Holiday/Call Requirements: rotating holidays and must be willing to work holidays
Call response time: 15 minutes with 8-hour reprieve shifts for post-call; sleep room available

Unit specific information

Shifts & Scheduling details provided by CV team lead
Orientation: 4-5 days unit based; 2 buddy call shifts, flexible based on recent heart experience

This department has a family atmosphere
Radius Rule: 50 miles from facility
Candidates may not be currently working full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit
RTO needed upfront with no additional RTO approved after submissions
