Pod A is a recent expansion, opened 1/24/19 and consists of 12 beds. Pod B (on the second floor) contains 16 beds.

Patient Ratios - Typically 1:2, can be 1:1 or 1:3 depending on acuity - Estimated ratios, not guaranteed

Type of equipment – Pyxis, Plum Pump IVs, GE bedside monitors, Nelcor, Artic Sun, Sub Zero

EMR - Meditech

BLS/ACLS

Preferred: TNCC

2 years ICU experience

Night Shift - 1 charge, number of nurses depends on census/acuity, critical care tech staffed 6 days a week, 0900-2100

Number of Staff – 42

Patient population: Neuro surgical, Trauma (level III, going to level II this year), cardiac arrest, resp arrest, ETOH/Drug WD, all vented patients come to the ICU at our facility.

New 12 bed ICU expansion to allow care for 28 ICU patients.

Will undergo level II trauma survey this year.

Intensivists are 24/7 and are patient, willing to teach and respectful of our staff.

ICU staff are welcoming and appreciative of travelers.

NSMC average census ranges from 100-125.
