  • **For 48-hour contract, OT is paid out after 48 hours**
  • Their application MUST show some 1:5 ratio experience in the Work History section for SD or PCU, otherwise, the managers will not review it. Be sure this is added to the application prior to submitting in order to avoid delay.
  • ICU exp does not count towards SD/PCU exp at this facility, therefore, you MUST have SD/PCU experience to be considered.
  • Unit is trialing team nursing where two nurses and a PCT partner together to care for a group of patients. The goal of this model is to divide the work and not the patients ultimately, improving both the workload and patient care. During this trial, nurses may function in either team nursing or primary nursing depending on the status of the trial.
  • 36 or 48 hours
  • **Must have vent exp and EPIC experience**
  • Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, but they can be up to 1:5-6
  • **Travel experience preferred**
    Job requirements
  • Must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment.
  • BLS, ACLS required- must be able to read and interpret strips
  • Must have Vent experience
  • Nurses will be fitted for N95 prior to working on the HRRU unit unless PAPR is offered/needed.
  • 1.5 years exp and some level 1 or 2 preferred
  • Traveler will be first to float at Premier's discretion.
  • Traveler must be available to work every other weekend/holiday.
  • Premier Health reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census per contract.

    Unit specific information
  • Working with Tele/drips/vents
  • Patient population primarily consists of COPD, CHF, Pneumonia, Flu, Sepsis, Diabetic Ketoacidosis and Post Covid. With the support of Respiratory Therapist, we care for trach, vents, bipaps and high-oxygen requirements.
  • We see insulin drips for both our DKA and DKA population as well as heparin Cardizem and sporadic other drips. Trach/vents on unit, no orally intubated patients.
  • Navy Blue Scrubs required
    Additional Details
  • Request RTO with initial submittal; NO RTO will be added after the offer. RTO approval will be at the Manager's discretion.
  • Submittal email must include application and current Nursys report, and other certs are not needed if listed on the application.
