Job Description

Unit Highlights

• Flexible with time-off requests and scheduling.
• Positive management and team dynamic.
• Call program includes 2-4 weeknight shifts and 1-2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule, with no call shift exceeding 12 hours.

Shift Details

• Rotating Shifts: 2x8s and 2x12s from 06:30-14:30/14:30-22:30 and 06:30-18:30/10:30-22:30
• Option for 5x8s as well.

Patient Population

• Adult cardiac surgery patients, vascular, and thoracic, including complex and high acuity cases.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR RN experience.
• Previous travel experience.
• Scrub and Circulating experience rated 3 or 4 on the skills list.

Call Requirements

• 2-4 weeknights and 1-2 weekends of call per 4-week schedule.

Certifications Required

• ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA only, certificates of completion not accepted).
• BLS: Basic Life Support (AHA only, certificates of completion not accepted).
• PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA only, required for specific units).
• NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (as applicable).
• State License Verification: Required for RN, LPN/LVN, AP.
• Drug Testing: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen required within 30 days of start.

Health Documents Required

• Flu Vaccination: Required by 12/1/24, no exemptions allowed.
• Negative TB Test: Within 1 year of start or clear chest X-ray if past positive.
• Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start, updated annually.

• 2 recent verified professional references required (from managers/supervisors).
