Job Description

• Experience Required: 2 years preferred; 1st time travelers are welcome.
• Epic Experience: Required.
• Average Daily Census: 24 patients.
• Float Requirement: Yes, will float to other Medical-Surgical units.
• Call Requirement: None.
• Holiday Requirement: Yes.
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, 4 weekend shifts per month.

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - can be acquired at the facility for a fee.
• NIH (National Institutes of Health) Stroke Certification.

Required Experience

• Fresh post-op craniotomies
• Vent settings
• A-lines
• Central lines
• Neuro patients
• NIH evaluations
• Hemodialysis managed by dialysis staff
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) managed by RN
• General ICU experience

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

• Documentation Requirements:

  • I-9 and E-Verify documentation.
  • Government-issued photo ID.
  • State License Verification.
  • NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP).
  • Background Check within 6 months of start.
  • Drug Testing within 30 days of start.
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination documentation required from Nov 1 – March 31.

• Health Documents:

  • TB Questionnaire.
  • Vaccination records for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap.

• Competencies:

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam.
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam.
  • Core Competencies (Parts I, II, III).
