  • AIBP experience & CCRN preferred.
  • Procedures performed on unit: Ventilator care, Therapeutic Hypothermia, PCI/STEMI, IABP, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, TEE/cardioversion, temp pacer, Sepsis, Stroke/TPA, DKA.
  • ICU RNs are responders for Code Blue and Rapid Response Team.
    Schedule information
  • Self-scheduling encouraged.
  • EOW, OT ok if available, flexible scheduling.
    Unit specific information
  • Unit staffing description: Mixed patient population, open ICU, goal staffing 4 RNs 24/7.
  • Type of equipment: GE B650 cardiac monitors, vents, Gaymar cooling.
  • Documentation system: Meditech.
  • Floating policy: ICU may float to critical care or intermediate care areas when needed.
  • Patient Experience requirements: AIDET validation during orientation, unit is focused on Nurse Communication, white board use, hourly rounding, bedside care conference/hand off.

  • Dress Code: Professional scrubs and appearance at all times (specific color not required at this time).
