  • A main Med Center in Eastern Nebraska is looking for PCU RN's. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required. 13 Week contract, 36 hours.
    Job requirements
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required
  • Must receive a 90% to pass exam or they will be terminated
  • Experience: 1 year required, ok with first time travelers
  • Charge experience required, minimum 1 year
  • RN's may need to titrate drips: insulin occasionally, cardizem

    Schedule information
  • Shifts: 12 hour
  • Shift times: 7a-7p, 7a-3p, 3p-7p, 7p-11p, 11p-7a, 7p-7a
  • Weekend requirements: Every third weekend
  • Self schedule
  • Orientation: 2 days

  • Unit: 6 East
  • Level of care: PCU and MedSurg
  • Number of beds: 27
  • Patient population: Adults
  • RN Ratio (Days): 1 RN to 4 PCU, 1 to 5 M/S
  • RN Ratio (Nights): 1 RN to 5-6 patients
  • Nursing Assistant support: Yes
  • Charge nurse: yes
  • Additional unit support staff: PT/OT, RN case manager, social work, educator, dietician
  • Float: yes, same level of care
  • Specific patient types/diagnoses - Oncology PCU and Trauma PCU

  • Specialty Equipment Available: Lyko lifts in even rooms. Other lift equipment available.
  • EMR: EPIC
  • IV Pumps: Alaris
