Med/Surg RN (Ortho and Peds experience preferred) are needed for a 13-week assignment at a Hospital located in Central Nebraska. This is one of the most popular states to travel in with lots of things to do and beautiful scenery. This position won't be open long. Great Benefits and Pay!

Med Surg Ortho RN with Ortho and Peds experience preferred.

Schedule information

Shifts & Scheduling: 0630-1900, 1830-0700. Weekend Requirement: Every other. Holiday Requirement: If needed.
Shift lengths will try to accommodate preferences as much as possible.

Unit specific information

# of Beds: 29
Ratios: 1:5-6
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Joint replacements, neuro-surgicals, GI surgicals, oncology, anything medical not requiring a higher level of care.
Nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit. Ratios: Yes- 1:10.
Tele/monitor techs on this unit. RNs required to read their own strips: Yes, must be able to read basic rhythms.
Floating Requirements: Will float to Inpatient Rehab unit, Skilled Nursing unit as well as our Progressive Care Unit, taking MS appropriate assignments. Staff may float to other departments to task/help and not assume a patient assignment depending on department/organization needs.
Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided: Navy Blue.
How many shifts of unit/department-specific orientation: First week in classroom then 2- 12 hour shifts on the floor.

Additional Details

Looking for team members who are team players, positive, flexible, willing to learn/adapt, and are dependable.
Unit is focused on hourly rounding, bedside shift report, nurse communication and team nursing.
Faced paced unit with a fluctuating census.
