Job details

A Hospital near Sacramento is looking for an experienced Telemetry nurse to work on the ED Overflow (Tele Holding) unit.
The right candidate will have 2 years of experience.

Active BLS
Active ACLS
NIHSS certification
Telemetry experience
Experience managing drips

Schedule information

12Hr shifts, 7A or 7P - self-scheduling is used; but is not finalized until the manager balances it.
Schedules are out 4 weeks.
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Rotate in with the perm staff
Floating Requirements: Yes, to inpatient like units.

Unit specific information

Will be caring for patients from the ER who are waiting on a bed in the hospital.
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy blue - under shirts must be navy, white, or black. Scrub jackets are optional, but must be navy.
Unit/Department specific orientation: Yes

Additional Details

ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; Med Sol prescreens/auto offer & manager has 24 hrs to rescind
Need 2 sup refs (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years worked
Modules are required done for start. Modules take 3-4 hrs - not billable
Prior to acceptance, the Dys exam (basic) through UNA is required along with acceptance. Must be completed within 24-48 hrs. It’s pass or fail and they get 2 attempts.
A screenshot showing the # of attempts is required.
We can accept the Relias basic Dys exam within the last 12mo if the traveler has previously taken.
If your traveler fails the 2nd attempt, they will be made DNU for CommonSpirit AZ & Sac.
