Job Description

• Hours: 36 or 48 hours accepted
• Experience Required:

  • Cardiac experience required
  • Must have CABG experience
  • Must show 1:5 ratio experience in the Work History section for SD or PCU (ICU experience does not count)
  • 1.5 years of experience in some level 1 or 2 preferred
  • Travel experience preferred
• Patient Ratios: Targeted patient ratios are 1:4-6

Requirements

• Certifications:

  • BLS, ACLS, IV start, NIH & cardiac drip titration
  • Must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting
• Floating Requirements:

  • Travelers will float at Premier's discretion and may be assigned to high-risk respiratory units/COVID.
  • Must be available to work every other weekend/holiday.
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Details

• Unit Type: 36 bed unit
• Specialty: Pre and post-op open heart management including CABG, valve, mitral clip & TAVR, thoracotomy, etc. Advanced care cardiac patients with continuous telemetry.

Additional Information

• Scrubs: Navy Blue
• RTO (Request Time Off): Must be included with initial submittal; no RTO will be added after the offer.
• Documentation Requirements:

  • I-9, E-Verify, and various health documents including TB tests, vaccinations, and background checks are required.
  • A current resume/application is required.
  • 2 professional references are required, with at least one from a manager/supervisor/charge RN.

Health and Safety

• Must complete a physical exam within 2 years prior to start.
• Drug testing is required, including a negative 9 or 10 panel drug screen.
• Flu vaccination documentation is required by November 13th for the current season.
