The Echo cardiology Technologist will complete and/or assist the physician with the ordered diagnostic procedures.
The Echo Tech demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care and consistently performs according to the standards of the profession.
The Echo cardiology Technologist may handle human blood and other potentially infectious and/or hazardous materials, which may result in possible exposure to blood borne pathogens and/or harmful elements.
This position has the responsibility for the assessment, treatment, and care of the patient in the following age groups: infant, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric.
He/she takes direction of the Cardiopulmonary Supervisor and the Medical Director.
The Echo cardiology Technologist reports to the Department Director.

Job requirements

Performance consistently meets expectations in all essential areas of responsibility, and at times exceeds expectations.
Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development through the life span.
Possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s needs in relation to age.
