Job Summary

• Provides technical support in the cardiac catheterization laboratory during invasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Assists physicians in radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures, acting as a scrub assistant and maintaining sterile conditions.
• Operates imaging equipment and monitors/document procedure images and events in the control room.
• Educates patients and families about the procedure and expectations, as well as pre and post-procedure physical conditions.
• Maintains order and cleanliness of the unit and ensures appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures.
• Completes daily, progress, and discharge documentation according to departmental standards.
• Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and potential safety hazards.
• Promotes the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and adheres to service behavior standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Two (2) years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab is preferred.
