Job Description
- Shift: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM
- Call: Every 3rd weekend
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Experience Required: 3+ years
- EPIC Experience: Minimum of 1 year
- Special Drips: Amiodarone, Primacor, Cardene, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Heparin, Cardizem, Insulin
- Patient Care: Comfortable with chest tubes, pacer wires, external pacemaker, central lines, and foleys. Patients may be post-op open heart surgery.
- Certifications Required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Certification
Additional Requirements
- Competency Assessments:
- Advanced Dysrhythmia test required
- Health Documents:
- Physical Exam (within 1 year of start)
- Fit Mask (annual update required)
- Tdap vaccine (within 10 years)
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year)
- Baseline TB Risk Assessment (within 90 days of start)
- Vaccination documentation for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Drug Testing (9 Panel within 90 days of start)
- Flu Vaccine or Medical/Religious Exemptions during flu season
- COVID-19 Vaccination or Medical/Religious Exemption
Background and History Checks
- Criminal Background Check: 7-year check required
- References: 2 professional references required
- Employment Application: Required for all candidates
- Education Verification: Required for all candidates
Skills and Competencies
- Unit-specific skills checklist required (updated annually)
- Competency exams as applicable
