Job Description

Position: Med/Surg Tele RN
Shift: Night shift, 3 - 12 hour shifts (7 PM - 7:30 AM)
Experience Required: Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience prior to travel.
Licensure: Must have a permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand.

Certifications Required

AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
Additional certifications may be required based on unit specifics, including:
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement
- State License Verification
- NURSYS Verification

Additional Requirements

Government-Issued Photo ID: Required to carry while on assignment.
Background Check: Required prior to start of assignment.
Drug Testing: Standard 10 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start.
Physical Exam: Must include an assessment of capability to perform essential job functions.
Vaccinations:
- Tdap vaccine (every 10 years)
- Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption during flu season
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
- Hepatitis B vaccination or titer
- Varicella vaccination or titer

Competencies

Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required as applicable by profession.
Unit-Specific Competency Exam: Required within 12 months of start and updated annually.

References

2 References Required: From employment within one year of start, from a Manager, ANM, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director.

Application Requirements

Employment Application: Must include 3 years prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting.
Resume: Must include 10 years of work history for OR Tech First Assistants (CSFA) and RNFAs.

Onboarding Process

Candidates must complete all required online training modules prior to clearance to start.
Expectation for timely completion of onboarding tasks to avoid delays in start date.
