Position Details

Job Description

  • Position/Specialty: IR Tech
  • Shift: 4x10 Days (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
  • Years of Experience Required: 1 Year
  • First-timers Accepted: Yes
  • Weekend Requirement: Call rotation (average of 10 days per month, including weekends)
  • Certifications Required:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

Responsibilities

  • Work experience with Outpatient, Inpatient, and Adult ICU required.
  • Experience with PACS, C-Arm, Contrast, and Biopsies is required.
  • Proficiency in using and deploying pushable/detachable coils, micro catheters, micro wires, Snare Kits, and injector systems (preferably ACIST).
  • Epic experience is required.

Additional Information

  • Local Candidates: Not accepted (must be more than 70 miles from the facility).
  • Pending License: Accepted at manager's discretion.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed, with potential for low census/cancellation.
  • RTO Restrictions: Requests must be submitted with the application; additional requests after confirmation are at the manager's discretion.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Must be able to perform various procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephogram, and vascular studies.
  • Must complete a skills checklist and other competency assessments as required.

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Fit Testing: Required during the first week of orientation.
  • TB Testing: Negative TB or Chest X-Ray required within 12 months of start.
  • Drug Testing: Negative drug screen required within 12 months of start.
  • Vaccinations: Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required during flu season.

Documentation Requirements

  • Background Check: Required within 12 months of start.
  • References: Two professional references within the last 2 years.
  • State License Verification: Required for Missouri and any other applicable states.
