Registered Nurse specializing in LONG TERM CARE
Start Date: ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements)
Shift: 3x12 Days (7am-7:30pm)
Ratios: 8:1 days; 13:1 nights
Travel experience is preferred
Weekend REQ: TBD
Open to accommodating block schedule: TBD
RTO Restrictions: For the 8 week contract, no RTO allowed
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: CVA, Dementia, RA, Afib, Hip fx, Parkinsons, BKA, PNA, COPD, Huntington's dx
Common Equipment: Hoyer lift, SARA lift, tube feeding pump, IV pump

Job requirements

2 years of Nursing home/LTC or Home Health preferred but not required
1-year Epic experience is preferred
First-Timers Accepted: Yes
Locals Accepted: No
Pending License Accepted: Yes
Skills REQ: IV Insertion, PICC Lines

Schedule information

Shift: 3x12 Days (7am-7:30pm)
Weekend REQ: TBD

Additional Details

This is an LTC unit; however, it functions more like an LTAC or step-down unit
We do not take trach patients, acute rehab, TPN, Bi-PAP, etc
We use a Pyxis medication system and do not use MedPacks
Epic was designed as an acute care EMR and has been modified for LTC
