Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class).

Patient Population: Neuro and Neuro-Surgical patients – CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, post-op cranis, cerebral angiogram. General medical and psych.

Skillset: NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong Neuro assessments, basic tele interpretation, strict I’s & O’s/straight cath/Foleys, initiate/titrate heparin gtts., blood/blood product administration/venipuncture/blood cultures, NG tubes, indwelling drain management, stable gtts. (i.e. Protonix, Lasic, etc.). Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!

Start: 12/2 or 12/16 - Bi-weekly orientation

Guaranteed Hours: 36 (will accept 48 upon request)

Primary location: Gateway

Shift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30-7

Float Requirement: First to float within skillset. Potential to float to different campuses.

Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.

GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Travelers are guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed.
