- Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.
- BLS – must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (For specific units where mentioned as required or preferred)
- Telemetry: Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.

- We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to float across multiple departments and specialties caring for complex and dynamic patient populations in a variety of both medical and surgical general care units and intermediate care (IMC) units.
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based care utilizing critical thinking skills to evaluate and assess patients, recognize and escalate complications, and administer appropriate nursing interventions while demonstrating a commitment to patient and family centered nursing care.
- Partner with dynamic multidisciplinary teams of nurses, nursing assistants, coordinated care roles, therapists, advanced practice providers, medical teams, and more, honing interpersonal communication skills and effectively delegating tasks as needed.
- Serve as a mentor and role model with opportunities to be a preceptor for new nurses and students, as well as have the opportunity to be involved in strategic planning efforts, quality improvement, and Shared Governance.
- Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles from assigned primary work site location.
- Floating - Travelers are the first to float. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
- Must have experience working in different Med/Surg units (cardiac, spine, neuro).
- Floating experience preferred.
- Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.
- 36 hrs/wk, Evening/Night, 12 hr shifts, Monday-Friday and every other weekend between the hours of 1900-0730 and some holidays.
- Shift length during orientation week may vary between 4-12 hr shifts.
- Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation if parking onsite.
- Other transportation options are available: bus, park & ride, private parking, etc.
