- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4-7 bedside RNs, 1 tech, 1 secretary
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4-7 bedside RNs, 1 tech (ideally)
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:5
- Equipment Used: Wound vacs, kang pumps, pleur-evac, PCAs, etc.
- EMR System: Meditech
Required Skills and Certifications
- Must Have:
- Med surg experience
- Preferred:
- High acuity post-op surgery/med surg background (chest tubes, drains, etc.)
- Typical Procedures:
- GI, gyn-onc, thoracic, plastics, general, surgical oncology
- Required Certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS (preferred)

- Floating Areas: 3N & 3SC (cancer floors), main tower (medsurg, cardiac, ortho, neuro floors)
- Dress Code: Scrub colors - navy blue, gray, black, pink, white
- Weekend Requirements: 2-3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; no on-call shifts
