Job requirements

Current (within previous 2 years) Intermediate Fetal heart Monitoring
L&D experience
Current NRP and BLS required

Schedule information

Day Shift – 1 charge, 12 RN, 2-3 Surgical Techs
Night Shift – 1 charge, 6-7 RN, 1 Surgical tech
Patient Ratios – AWHONN ratios are the goal. Could be 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1 (low acuity)

Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Preferred or nice to have: Experience at facilities with >3000 births per year
Patient preferences are central
List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Labor, deliver, recover, triage, Antepartum, circulate for C-section
1st hour baby care (excludes admission assessment, eyes and thighs)
Breastfeeding assistance
Best personality Fit: Cultural diversity
Dress Code: Scrub Color - Navy Blue, any closed shoes
Tattoos and piercings covered
Unit Guidelines/Policies: In house: 24-7 Hospitalist and Midwife coverage, Anesthesia, Neonatologist
