Job Overview: Registered Nurse
Location: Burlington, North Carolina
Facility: Alamance Regional Medical Center, Cone Health MSP
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Shifts: 3x12s, Nights (7 PM - 7:30 AM), Every Other Weekend, Holidays as needed
- Floating: Required between all Cone Health facilities
- Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
- Patient Population: Inpatient department with a variety of patients with multiple co-morbidities, specialized care for stroke (neuro) patients.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years required; first-time travelers are accepted.
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH (National Institutes of Health)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Telemetry experience (remote monitoring preferred)
- Feeding tube care and management
- Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs
- CVA, Nasal Cannula
- Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac
- Skills:
- Patient ratios experience required (1:5-6)
- Telemetry experience is necessary
- Must be flexible with scheduling and aware of the zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
Additional Information
- Mandatory Questionnaire: Candidates must answer a series of questions regarding their awareness of the job description, flexibility with scheduling, and compliance deadlines.
- Compliance Deadline: 12 Noon EST the Wednesday prior to the start date.
- Background Check: Required within 60 days of start covering all locations lived/worked/in school for the past 7 years.
- References: 2 supervisory references required for all clinical positions.
Health Documents
- Vaccinations: Proof of Adult Tdap Vaccine, Flu Vaccine, COVID-19 Vaccines, and TB testing required.
- Drug Testing: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen required within 30 days of start.
- Fit Mask Testing: Required for specific roles.
Education
- Degree: Associate's in Nursing or higher required for RNs.
- Foreign Education: Documentation of foreign equivalency evaluation must be provided if education is obtained outside of the United States.
Skills Checklist
- Annual skills checklist required; candidates have a one-week grace period to update.
