Position Details

Shift Information

• Shift Type: D/N rotating shift
• Schedule: 3x12's (7pm-7:30am/7am-7:30pm) or 4x12's
• Rotation: Typically consists of 2 weeks of days followed by 2 weeks of nights.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum Experience: 18 months recent Cardiac Stepdown experience required.
• Preferred Experience: PCU/Progressive care experience.
• Permanent Experience: Must have a minimum of 18 months permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel.

Licensing and Certifications

• License Requirement: Must have a valid Ohio license or a compact state license in hand.
• Certifications Required:

  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Certification
  • Additional certifications may be required based on unit specifics (e.g., PALS, NRP, etc.).

Additional Information

• Holidays: Traveler must work at least every other holiday.
• Documentation:

  • Government-issued photo ID required.
  • Background check required prior to start.
  • Drug testing required annually.
  • Physical exam required within a year of start.
  • Vaccination records for Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, and TB testing required.

Competencies and Training

• Competency Exams: Unit-specific competency exams required within 12 months of start and updated annually.
• Online Training Modules: Must complete facility-specific online training modules prior to start.
