Job Description

• Position: RN MS/TELE
• Shift: 3x12 Nights (19:00 - 07:00)
• Experience Required: 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience in acute care; trauma experience preferred.
• First-timers Accepted: No

Certifications and Licenses Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• EKG Course/Telemetry Test
• NIHSS Certification
• Telemetry Certification
• Additional Certifications: PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, CPI, and others as applicable to specific units.

Additional Requirements

• Identification: Current and valid driver's license or state-issued ID, and a utility bill in the traveler's name with a matching address (must be greater than 75 miles from the contracted facility).
• RTO Restrictions: No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted.
• Charting System: Epic
• Floating Requirement: Clinicians may float within scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam: Statement of good health signed by a physician, PA, or NP.
• Vaccinations:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
  • Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Flu vaccine required for new starts during flu season.
  • COVID-19 vaccination (fully vaccinated preferred).

Background and History Checks

• Background Check: 7-year criminal background check required.
• References: 2 former supervisor references required.
• Work History Verification: 10 years of work history must be verified.

Skills and Competencies

• Competency Exams: Unit-specific competency exams required with passing scores.
• Skills Checklist: Must be current and updated annually.

Important Notes

• Local Candidates: Not accepted (must be greater than 75 miles from the facility).
• Pending State License: Not accepted.
• Fit Testing: Required for all clinical positions within 1 year of start.
