- Seeking a Registered Nurse to join a 41-bed hematology, oncology, stem cell transplant, and palliative care inpatient unit.
- Provide care for patients including bone marrow, stem cell transplant and cellular therapies, and patients at end of life.
- Patients on this unit have complex diseases such as leukemia, lymphoma, and solid tumor cancers with complications like Graft-Versus-Host Disease.
- Administer chemotherapy, assist with procedures, administer blood products, access central lines and ports, and perform assessments.
- Involved in evidence-based therapies and research studies to improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change.
- Receive formal education in various oncological and palliative care topics.
- Chemo and/or Bone Marrow Transplant experience required.
- Chemotherapy certification required.
- Two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years.
- 36 hrs/week, Night, 12 hr shifts, every other weekend rotation, and some holidays.

Cons
Madison does have a high cost of living and the parking situation at the hospital is terrible. However, buses are an option as well as biking. Nights are much easier/cheaper for parking than days due to demands of the hospital and university.
