- Provides discharge and follow-up instructions to the patient and family.
- Answers the ambulance radios and, without assistance, gives appropriate orders for pre-hospital care.
- Works with multiple types of sophisticated equipment and handles various types of patients in a frequently stressful environment.

- 2 Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two years
- License/Certifications (MI LARA & BLS, ACLS - AHA)
- Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will consider local candidates for one 13 week contract, afterwards, they are to go perm- 50 mile radius restriction)
Job requirements
- Facility Specific Requirement: Cannot accept local candidates that live within 50 miles of the facility.
- Open 24 hours per day, 365 days per year
- Offering care for adult and pediatric patients.
- Staffed by board-certified physicians and nurses with specialized emergency experience.
- Fully-equipped to provide care for all common emergency conditions, including heart attack, stroke and minor trauma.
- A telemedicine program enables patients to receive consultations from neurologists and other specialists at the University of Michigan, for faster decision-making during stroke planning and treatment.
- Ambulance entrance and helipad
- Adjacent observation unit for those who require further observation to stay up to 24 hours.
- Dress Code: Navy Blue
- EMR: Epic
