- 3 full years of SICU/CVICU experience.
- Experience with open hearts.
- Experience recovering fresh hearts directly from the OR within the last 6 months.
- General medical & surgical ICU experience in addition to CVICU experience.
Job requirements
- 12-hour shifts: 7 AM - 7:30 PM.
- Every other weekend work required; could be more based on unit needs.
- Time off requests need to be made prior to contract start.
- Block scheduling possible but not guaranteed.
- Floor specific orientation: 1 shift with a preceptor.
Schedule information
- Charge Nurse 24/7 - no patients unless absolutely necessary.
- Resource nurse available 24/7.
- No techs, support staff/unit clerk/secretary available.
- Patients: TAVR, Impella, IABP, lumbar drains, Swanz, manual hemo experience preferred.
- No CRRT.
Unit specific information
- ***Must have experience recovering fresh hearts directly from the OR within past 6 months***
- ***ALL MYJOURNEY MODULES NEED TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. TRAVELER WILL BE PUSHED BACK IF ALL MODULES ARE NOT COMPLETED. NO EXCEPTIONS***
- Navy blue scrub color requirement.
