A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Cardiac Tele nurse for a travel contract.
The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.

Job requirements

Schedule information

Travelers may be expected to float frequently.
Shifts/Hours: 12's; 7a - 7:30p/7p - 7:30a
Weekends: Every other weekend or equivalent of 4 weekend days in a 4 week schedule. Day Shift Weekend is Sat/Sun; Nights is Fri/Sat
Breaks: 1/2 hour break (clock-out); 3 - 15 min breaks per shift (CA Law)

Unit specific information

Ratios: 4:1 Both days/nights
Charge Nurse: Yes, does not take patients but assists staff nurses.
Type of patients: Telemetry unit/cardiac tele unit & intermittent COVID unit as needed.
Floating: Travel nurses float off the unit first, to MedSurg, all Tele units, and Burn ICU for MSTele patients only. Must be able to multi-task & have superb time management skills to be successful.
Needs to know how to administer cardiac drips.
